SmartProxy review: Are their proxies effective?

SmartProxy is one of the premium companies that offer residential IP addresses. The price in combination with the friendly and authenticated dashboard is a great choice for people that haven’t used proxies in the past. They offer top-notch residential IP proxies, 40+ million IPs from 195+ locations so SmartProxy is recommended for Web Crawling, Scraping, Sneaker sites, Social media sites, and Ads verification. You can integrate Smartproxy's proxies with Easycop, Hidemyacc, Jarvee, Supreme bot, AIO Sneakers Bot, Another Nike Bot, BetterNikeBot, NikeSlayer, and many more.

SmartProxy has four residential proxy packages: Micro, Starter, Regular and Advanced. Each package comes with a certain monthly amount of bandwidth. If you use your traffic limit before your plan ends, Smartproxy will charge you for every extra GB. SmartProxy Performance Testing

SmartProxy claimed that they have 40 million monthly residential IPs worldwide. However, that's just advertised numbers. The real number fluctuates daily, depending on the end-users that lend their IPs. In our tests, 67.4% of 1.8 million requests returned a unique IP, 91.7% of the IPs had landline or mobile connections, as residential proxies should. Only 3.1% were identified as originating in a data center. This is a great result, and it shows that Smartproxy does have a large proxy network.

SmartProxy proxies are very fast! Their average response time to a server in the US is only 0.97s, which is the fastest response time compared to other providers we tested.

We also test the download and upload speed of SmartProxy on Speedtest.net and here is the result:

• Average Ping: 75ms
• Average Download: 29.42 Mbps
• Average Upload: 17.15 Mbps

This result isn't the best compared to other providers but keep in mind that your results may be slightly different depending on the server’s location. It also depends on the speed that the ISP dedicates to the IP address that you are using. Overall, even though Smartproxy’s speeds don’t break world records, their high-quality proxies can get the job done.

Pros

• Location Coverage: Currently, SmartProxy has over 40 million real IP addresses spread across more than 195 locations in the world. Since these are residential IP addresses, they hardly get blocked. If they are abused to the extent of getting blocked, such IP is taken out of the pool, so you don’t get to use one that will put you at risk. Unfortunately, they don't have many city-targeting options, they only have 8 cities: New York, Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles, London, Moscow, Berlin, and Miami. On the other hand, you can target all 50 US states.
• Great Customer Support: Their customer support is live via live chat 24/7 and they reply as fast as possible, pretty impressive! Alternatively, you can reach them via email, Skype, or social media. Whichever options we chose, SmartProxy never lets us down.

However, for sneaker copping and other city-dependent processes, you might want to choose another proxy provider. Except, of course, if you’re targeting one of these cities: New York, Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles, London, Moscow, Berlin, or Miami.
• No Socks5 Protocol: There’s only HTTP and HTTPS support, and if Socks5 Protocol is one that you absolutely must have, then this platform won’t be ideal for you.
