Combining a proxy with an antidetect browser is the best way to protect your multiple profiles from being detected and suspended by platforms. SOAX proxy is one of the most outstanding proxy providers in the market today. The following is a detailed review of SOAX's performance that you can refer to. Let's get started.
What is Soax Proxy?
Soax is a backconnect residential proxy provider with over 8 million residential & mobile IPs in their proxy pool. Their residential IPs are from real devices ranging from Wifi devices and mobile. Those proxies are the cleanest residential proxy networks with specific city, region & ISP targeting, that's good for managing multiple social accounts, sneaker botting…those strict use cases that require clean IPs. They’re especially rich in targeting options: how many other providers let you target all locations by city and ASN? Or keep the same IP for as long as it’s available? Not many at all.
Soax offers two kinds of proxies: rotating residential IPs and mobile IPs. It plans to introduce private datacenter proxies as well. No matter which service you use, Soax undertakes to ensure 99% uptime all year round in its Service Level Agreement. Soax’s residential proxy pool includes more than 8M+ monthly IPs, according to the provider. Of course, as with all peer-to-peer proxies, their actual availability fluctuates, depending on how many devices are online at the time. Their residential proxies cover most countries in the world.
And the targeting options are very generous : they include not only countries and cities, but also regions for some countries and even ISPs. Their IPs inevitably rotate and rotation options range from 90 to 600 seconds and you can even specify a custom duration. This level of control you get is pretty amazing. There’s an option to unlock faster rotation times. However, this is considered a premium feature, and enabling it (along with node access) costs extra.
Soax’s residential proxies support HTTP(S) and SOCKS5 protocols. Though advertised as unlimited, the proxies do have some limits, specifically concerning ports. A basic plan gets you 300 ports that you can access at the same time, and you’re advised not to go over 30 concurrent connections on each.

Soax Proxy Package and Pricing
|
Soax offers monthly plans and charges by traffic, and applies both to the residential and mobile IPs. Every plan gives you full access to the provider’s proxy pool.
The residential proxy plans start at $99. For this price, you get 8 GB of data ($12/GB) and 300 ports at your disposal. Normally, buying in larger amounts will further reduce the cost per GB.
The mobile proxy plans also begin from $99 – you get 3 GB of data ($33/GB) and 300 ports; the largest advertised plan costs $700 for 27 GB ($26/GB) and 600 ports.
Soax costs less than the big providers like GeoSurf or Bright Data (Luminati), but we wouldn’t call these proxies cheap. They also offer 100 MB of data for $1.99 so you can test before purchasing the bigger plan. A refund is possible only if Soax breaks its SLA, which comes down to the service going down for extended periods.

We tested Soax's residential proxies with a target was a Cloudflare server in the US. Results with individual websites might differ, depending on your configuration and other factors.
The proxies we received consisted largely of residential IP addresses – the database identified only ~3% as coming from a data center. Furthermore, the majority of these proxies belonged to landline ISPs. Soax’s residential proxies had a very impressive success rate - 97.4%, which shows that Soax's server works well. They were among the best performers, beaten only by the market leaders: Oxylabs, Bright Data, and GeoSurf.
However, when it comes to response time, Soax’s residential proxies proved to have a fairly poor result with 2.52s. Note that we were making requests to a server in the US, so you might have a different result.
We also tested SOAX’s mobile IPs and the proxies were indeed mobile like advertised with a success rate of 98.4%. Most of them were IPv4 and it works well for websites like Facebook and Instagram, which seem to be major mobile proxy targets. However, compared to residential proxy benchmarks, Soax’s mobile proxies were slow.
Note: We have published a blog about the Best Proxy Provider of 2022 for you, so you can look up and decide which proxy will fit best with your work.
Soax Pros and Cons
Pros
- Excellent Targeting Options:The most favorite thing about Soax is its targeting options. Soax claims it has IPs from over 185 countries in its pool, and you can filter them down to particular cities and IPs as well. This makes it possible for you to access any geo-targeted content on the web. It makes it possible to also unblock regional restrictions. Furthermore, the city and ISP-level targeting is offered across all the plans for no additional charge. In fact, you can test the targeting with the three-day trial plan as well.
- Large Proxy Network: Compared to some of its peers, Soax’s pool of 8.5+ million IPs isn’t particularly large. But it’s fairly impressive when you consider the fact that this number only includes residential proxies. These IPs are trusted by websites and do not suffer much scrutiny and ban as other IPs suffer. Even if an IP assigned to your traffic gets banned, you do not need to worry as the Soax rotating system will change the IP assigned to you. You can use its proxies for most use cases ranging from account management, web scraping, and other forms of automation and botting.
- Good Scraping Performance: Web scraping and crawling are the most popular use of proxies for SEO monitoring, travel aggregation, price monitoring, advert verification, and most other automation use cases are all specialized web scraping. We took the test of Soax's proxies on websites from different industries ranging from social media, and e-commerce like: Amazon, Adidas, Google, Facebook... The average success rate is 91.10. Google, YouTube, Instagram, and Craigslist seem to suspect and block some of the requests – and most of the blocks are Captchas related. With a good Captchas solver, the success rate will increase.
- Friendly Interface: Soax invests a lot into website appearances. The website is beautiful, even if unfinished. Moreover, we have access to one of the most beautiful dashboards, which is also one of the best dashboards compared to other popular proxy providers. From the dashboard, you can authorize your device's IP address so that you do not need to worry about using a username and password for authentication. Soax provides an API that is available on request that makes their usage easy for developers. They also use copy buttons that allow users to copy any data from the proxy detail section easily.
- Supports both HTTP(S) and SOCKS5: Soax supports the HTTP, HTTPS, and SOCKS5 proxy protocol. It remains one of the few premium proxy providers that supports all three protocols. This ensures that users can safely use their services on several devices.
- Compatible with Social Media Automation: Soax proxies are entirely compatible and effective with many use cases, even complicated SEO tools. Out of all the social media automation available, Instagram is the one that Soax works with best and Instagram is one of the most challenging social media apps to scrape or auto. Their anti-spam software and other protocols effectively detect proxies and block them.
Cons
- Expensive Price :Although they have flexible payment options such as daily, weekly, and monthly, every other thing about their pricing is not friendly – at least to small marketers on a tight budget. Their packages are priced based on the number of locations, ports, and bandwidth. For example, their smallest plan for a day costs $20 and this is just for a single location. If you want to unlock all locations, this daily plan becomes $100.
- Being Monitored :Users can surf the internet knowing that their traffic is secured thanks to Soax end-to-end encryption that protects its users from any trackers. However, while Soax tries to protect their users, they also monitor users’ activities. They also use their users’ Know Your Customer (KYC) system to watch the identity of each user on their platform. Also, Soax has its headquarters in The United Kingdom. This makes them subject to the law that applies there. If the authorities in the UK requests any user’s data, Soax is obligated to share this information with them.

Conclusion
Soax is one of the best residential and mobile proxy providers available on the market. Offers superb, highly detailed geo-targeting capabilities, automatic or on-demand rotation on every port, a user-friendly dashboard, and a flexible pricing structure.
Moreover, Soax is very recommended for anyone who needs precise location and session control and doesn't mind slower speeds. Their proxies are 100% whitelisted, residential, and always do the job they are required to do – help you maintain anonymity on the web without the risk of being detected or banned. However, you still have to consider its area of jurisdiction which is the UK and its expensive pricing.
